Our client owns and operates a diverse and growing
portfolio of power generation and distribution
businesses with the capacity to serve 100 million
people worldwide. They operate 124 generation plants
and employ in excess of 28,000 globally.
In support of the business objectives the Human
Resources function was changing from an autonomous
regional structure to a globally managed corporate
function. The Chief Human Resources Officer
recognized the need to bring together HR leaders
from each Region with a goal of formulating a new
global HR vision and defining key global and
regional HR strategic thrusts to support this
vision. She turned to The Grasp Group to help
realize this goal.
Working directly with corporate HR and business
leadership we designed and facilitated a three-day
workshop for this new global team. Using the new
vision for the company and their strategic business
initiatives as a starting point, we incorporated a
variety of information sessions, teach sessions and
working sessions to help the HR team meet their
objectives.
The end result exceeded all expectations. We were
able to help them craft an HR vision everyone could
align behind for the global company, define the key
HR strategic initiatives necessary to achieve the
vision, and to identify annual HR objectives
supporting these initiatives.
The HR team left the session with clear direction
alignment on how individually and as a team they
would contribute to the achievement of the overall
business vision.
“The global HR vision and strategy developed
during the workshop designed by TGG was used as
the foundation for the corporate HR function. The
workshop was integral in creating more cohesion
between the corporate HR group and the regional HR
directors. We continue to work on the
deliverables identified during the vision and
strategy workshop with cross region teams
formed during the workshop taking the lead.”
